A Word About Williamson...
Mrs. Williamson has been teaching English, torturing students, and coaching forensics in Sonoma County since 1984. Her recent publications include: “Virtual Seating in the Globe Theater” ( 2009, English Journal), On-Demand Writing: applying the strategies of impromptu speaking to impromptu writing (IDEA press,2008); "How Coaching Forensics Made Me a Better Writing Coach" (2007 May, English Journal); "Speak Before You Write" (2005, California English); Speaking Across the Curriculum (IDEA press, 2004). In 2005 she was inducted into the California High School Speech Coaches’ Hall of Fame, but she is most proud of her team taking first place in the state in Division A debate in 2008.
