Friends – As the great reputation of Analy High School
spreads, and the number of students increases, traffic before and
after school becomes more challenging. Here are some realistic
steps you can take to help reduce traffic volume. * If students can
walk or bike, they should. It's amazing how far students can walk
or bike in just ten minutes. For students who must drive or be
driven to school, here are three suggestions: * Carpool. If each
car transported more than one student, we could drastically reduce
traffic volume. * Arrive earlier. Arriving twenty minutes before
school, rather than five or ten minutes early, would spread out the
traffic. * Consider dropping students at locations other than
directly in front of the school. For example, students can be
dropped off on Johnson Street east of the baseball fields and walk
to school from there, students can be dropped off in the Police
Department parking lot and walk to school via Taft Street, or
students can be dropped off in the Laguna High School parking lot
or Analy's northern parking lot and walk from there. Working
together, we can reduce traffic around our schools making the start
and end of each school day safer and more pleasant for everyone.
