Project Grad is an elaborate, all-night celebration after graduation that is alcohol- and drug-free. Project Grad is a safe alternative to separate graduation night parties located around the community and helps to protect our new grads at the time they’re most at risk of becoming drunk driving victims. In 24 years, not a single Analy graduate has died from alcohol, drugs, or traffic accidents on graduation. You can help keep our kids safe by encouraging your grad’s attendance.

Project Grad starts on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 9:30 pm and goes until 5:00 am on Friday, May 31 at the Sebastopol Community Cultural Center.

If you have a Senior student – we could use your help for setup, cleanup and this weekend for preparing name badges (Sun 5/5 in Bodega Bay).

If you have a Freshmen, Sophomore or Junior, we could really use your help the evening of Project Grad – especially for the late shift beginning at 12midnight.

Analy High School will hold their 13th annual R.O.P. Video Film Festival on Saturday, May 11th, doors open at 6:30 pm and the show begins at 7pm.

The film festival is a showcase of short films from Analy Sophomore through Senior classes. It is a celebration of both advanced video classes and the four beginning classes. These students have found their “voices” in video expression – ranging from documentaries, fiction, humor, to music videos, and more. Each film runs approximately 3-5 minutes, and the entire festival runs about and hour and a half.

Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students, at the door. This is a benefit for our R.O.P. Video program supplies. For more information, please contact Analy High School Video Instructor, Ann Humphrey at ahumphrey.ahs@wscuhsd.k12.ca.us or 824-2332.

Registration for the Counseling 270 class, the orientation to SRJC opens on Monday, May 6 @ 6:00 am. You must have an application for admission to the summer session on file in order to register for this class.

If you have a particular interest in either athletics or math/science studies, be sure to select the section that focuses on these specific interests. Otherwise any of the other 270 sections will familiarize you with all you need to know as you start your studies at SRJC.

“Stop by Analy High School’s 1st Annual Sustainability Showcase this Saturday, May 4th, from 10am-2pm.

Nicknamed ‘Terrapalooza’ this is a community event showcasing various interactive student projects & activities with a common sustainability theme.

Activities include:

Ag Science – Plant Sale (Heirloom Seeds) and petting zoo.
EcoAction – Tiny House display, Solar Baked treats/samples, Solar Baked Clay Medallions
ProjectMake – squishy circuits, human powered vehicle rides, and more.
Wood – help build a chicken coop. build your own mini wood project of recycled wood.
EcoLiterature – Fun games while discovering Eco Literature
Students4Sustainability – Solar cell demo and Tours of the School’s Solar Array.
Student Video interviews of visitors. @ Sustainability

Come by before noon if you can, and support these students and teachers in their sustainability efforts.

About 30 tickets remain so please help us SELL OUT this fun and worthwhile event. Our auction committee did an amazing job soliciting donations and we’ve got 70 fantastic auction items offering GREAT VALUES and all auction proceeds go to our school!

The Analy High School Education Foundation’s event will be from 12:00 – 4:00 pm this Saturday at the French Garden Restaurant & Bistro in Sebastopol. Tickets are $50 per person which include appetizers, a three-course meal, local wines, musical performances by students, silent and live auctions, and a few surprises. Proceeds benefit Analy High School by funding classroom needs which are not funded by other means.

Live Auction items will be posted online today while silent auction items will be posted later in the week.
