This course is designed to be the third year of the college prep sequence, or the
second year of the accelerated program. The course reviews concepts and skills
learned in Algebra 1 (but applies those concepts to more difficult problems),
reinforces, whenever possible, the concepts of geometry, and provides a comprehensive
background in advanced algebraic concepts. Topics covered include factoring, rational
expressions, graphs, radicals, quadratic equations, complex numbers, conic sections,
exponents and logs, exponential and logarithmic functions, sequences and series, and probability.
