Advanced Placement United States Government is divided into six general topics of study prior to the AP test in May, with a concurrent look into the related study of economics. Each of the six study topics will be divided according to the unit and chapter divisions of our main text. Each unit will be studied through lecture and notes, class discussion of data, oral reading of data, written evaluation of data, and vocabulary. Students enrolled in this course are expected to take the Advanced Placement examination in American Government in May. The readings will be found in books widely used in American colleges and universities; the teaching and study techniques have been chosen to prepare students to do excellent work in college; the examinations and assignments are similar to those given in the best universities.
