This class deals with basic nutrition and cooking principles, meal planning, and consumer information. The course begins with units in specific foods such as quick breads, food preservation, desserts, yeast breads, and breakfast. The second semester continues with basic food preparation and finishes with research into foreign food customs and outdoor food preparation. Materials fee: $50.00/year
