This non-college preparatory course will emphasize English
skills improvement and career applications for students who do not intend
to enter the University of California or a selective four-year college
upon graduation. Students will study high interest core and extended
American literature as well as explore various writing strategies and
essays in preparation for exit exams and future employment or job training.
Though recommended for students who would benefit from review of basic
skills, students who successfully complete this class are encouraged
to enroll in the English course of their choice during their senior
year.
